Europe today faces no shortage of major challenges, including Brexit, a migration crisis, and democratic backsliding, to name a few. And it is confronting all this at a time when transatlantic relations are seemingly marked more by disputes, whether over Iran or tariffs, than by cooperation. In recent years, Ireland has been on the front line of these important changes, be it the impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland or the debates over digital taxes. Dan Mulhall, the ambassador of Ireland to the United States, will address these topics and others during his visit to the School of International Service. AU professor Michelle Egan will moderate the discussion with the ambassador, and an audience Q&A will follow.
