Sip 'N Slip: Decorate Your Own Ceramic Pot

Description

Come decorate pottery, enjoy some relaxing drinks and snacks, and remember what it felt like to do arts and crafts as a kid! We will be decorating with a technique called slip trailing, which involves using a squeeze bottle to apply liquid clay onto pottery in a design of your choosing. We will have various types of pottery to decorate, including bowls, planters, dog bowls, and vases. Other types available if requested in advance.

After the event, Emily from Em & Em Pottery will take the pots home to fire them, glaze them, and then fire them again. Once finished, these pots can be picked up from her in DC or from the FFDC store. They will be dishwasher and microwave safe.

Tickets are $25 for one pot; additional pots can be bought in person and decorated for $15. Ticket price includes slip trailing materials and adult drinks and snacks. Pottery will be available for pickup within 3 weeks
