Description

Come learn how to paint a cool coffee mug with District Mugs while enjoying wine!

District Mugs is a volunteer-run nonprofit that introduces entrepreneurship and business concepts to homeless men and women in Washington, DC, by teaching them how to paint coffee mugs and helping them sell those mugs at pop-ups and other events. Participants in the District Mugs program have the opportunity to earn a small income from the production and sale of their coffee mugs while learning long-term transferable business skills.

As a 2017 BEACON Grant Recipient, District Mugs was able to improve and formalize operations. Now, it seeks to empower even more homeless individuals across DC, made possible by this fundraiser.

All proceeds from this event will be used to sponsor vending licenses to enable participants to sell their products through their own pop-ups.
