The annual Tenley WinterFest returns on November 23 with a week of fun, seasonal events for all ages.


Tenley WinterFest is an eight-day celebration of the holiday season designed to showcase local businesses, community groups, and the neighborhood – all with a unique Tenleytown flair and lots of yetis.


What began more than a decade ago as a small student craft market has grown into a celebration of the holiday season in Tenleytown. More than 30 businesses and community groups join together annually to host WinterFest events, including the signature Yeti Scavenger Hunt, WinterFeast restaurant week, and Winter Market. Thousands visit Tenleytown each year from across the District to enjoy our yeti-themed festival.

* Historic Walking Tour of Tenleytown courtesy of the Tenleytown Historical Society

* WinterFest story times and family movie night

* Winter Market at Janney Elementary School, featuring art, crafts, accessories, baked goods, and more for sale

* Special offers, events, and promotions at area businesses
