Description

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, children will learn how not to be wasteful in the Japanese tradition of Mottainai. Staff from The Japan Information & Culture Center will read Mottainai Grandma, which teaches children the importance of zero-waste. After the story, kids will make origami samurai hats out of recycled newspaper. JICC is a part of the Public Affairs section of the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. Best for kids 4&up. Maximum participants: Up to 20.
