Description

From Planned Parenthood’s fight to protect reproductive rights to issues of intersectionality emphasized by celebrities like Beyoncé and Serena Williams, women’s health is in the spotlight now more than ever. And these are not concerns faced solely by Americans: women around the world face policies, sexism, racism, and more that impact their health. Join American University's  School of International Service for a discussion on women’s health from a variety of perspectives, from the global viewpoint down to the local issues here in Washington, DC.

Panelists include SIS Professor Rachel Robinson (moderator), Suyanna Barker (Interim Chief Programs Officer, La Clínica del Pueblo), Jennifer Kates (Senior Vice President and Director of Global Health & HIV Policy, Kaiser Family Foundation), and Serra Sippel (President, CHANGE).
