Dear TMS Family,

Fessenden Park becomes Tenleytown’s own little “French Quarter” as Tenleytown Main Street celebrates Bastille Day in Fessenden Park July 13th, 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Enjoy quiche and profiteroles, play the classic lawn game petanque, listen to live music, and take part in French-themed activities. Play Bastille Day Trivia for a chance to win gift sets from Verified Wine & Fine Spirits and Tenleytown Main Street.
Tickets are just $20; one child ticket included free with a paid adult. Additional child tickets are $5/child. Tickets include all food, beverage, and activities. All proceeds benefit programming and maintenance of Fessenden Park.

So what is the Tenleytown Main Street Corridor?
When many of our neighbors think of Tenleytown they think about the blocks directly surrounding the metro stop on Wisconsin Ave. However, the Tenleytown Main Street corridor runs from Fessenden Street the whole way to City Ridge! Our corridor is a vibrant hub of activity that includes restaurants, specialty shops, medical offices, and public and private schools. Here is a map of the Tenleytown Main Street boundaries. Band Bash at City Ridge will have 3 local DC bands with a variety of music genres from jam rock to covers. Join us while treating yourself to delicious bites from King Street Oyster Bar, Roof Top Kitchen, Taco Bamba, Tatte Bakery Wegman’s. Bring your blankets or grab a seat in our limited seating to enjoy the music. There will be a  range of onsite activities, featuring music-themed giveaways, face painting, bubble artist, lawn games, and more.

Trivia Night at Guapo’s
July 11th, 7:30pm
Join Tenleytown Main Street and quizmasters Robin and Matt for a pub-style trivia night at Guapo’s Tenleytown. You’ll be challenged while laughing with friends. It’s free to play and the winners will receive a prize of $25 Tenley Bucks that can be redeemed at businesses around Tenleytown. Winners of the music round will receive two FREE classes with a heart rate monitor at Orangetheory Fitness in Tenleytown.
