Important Business Updates

The Corporate Transparency Act

Businesses with 20 employees or less and less than $5 million in revenue formed before January 1, 2024, ARE REQUIRED to file their initial reports by January 1, 2025, while entities formed on or after January 1, 2024, have 30 days from the date of formation to report.

Certificate of Clean Hands Threshold Increase

In 2024, the Council of the District of Columbia enacted legislation that increased the threshold amount to receive a Clean Hands certificate from $100 to $1,000.

DC Health Link Enrollment Open Now

The DC Parking Cashout Law

The reporting dashboard is now open! All District employers with 20+ employees, offering parking spaces,  must report their compliance with or exemption from the law by January 15, 2025.

New SBA Loan Options to Reduce Debt

New SBA changes could help small business owners, including restaurant operators, refinance existing debt with better terms through expanded 504 loan options starting Nov. 15. Restaurants and small businesses with a net worth under $15 million are eligible for max loan amounts up to $5.5 million in 10, 20, and 25 year terms with 3% interest rate.

Verizon Digital Ready Superfan Grant

Amount: $25,000 + Trip to the Super Bowl

Coach K Legacy Grant

Amount: $2,500
