For kids with an artistic bent, Artfolio helps children develop creative and technical drawing, sketching, and painting skills through playful projects and fun, formal art lessons. Stay tuned for information regarding online classes or potential in-person classes during future reopening phases.

CityDance POP!
In-person summer dance has been moved online to a virtual learning experience! CityDance POP has scheduled virtual camps for June and July. (Stay tuned for possible in-person August classes) They’re offering half-day, weeklong virtual summer camps for ages 5-16. Dancers will experience a week of dance appreciation with classes in hip hop, ballet, jazz, modern and tap dance.
The new schedule has weekly classes for ages 3-5, 5-7, 8-10, and 11-16.

CommuniKids
CommuniKids is awaiting direction from the DC government prior to beginning their in-person summer camp. When reopening phases allow, they’ll offer eight weeks of summer camp fun, with the option of registering for just one week or multiple weeks. Camps combine language immersion with cultural activities such as art, cooking, dance, music, stories, and more.

Confetti
Confetti’s virtual full-day, interactive camps are now online! While they’d much rather host campers in person, Confetti is offering engaging virtual camps and adventure kits to ensure summer fun is still in play for 2020! From 8 weekly themes that include Adventures at the Louvre to Adventures on Mt. Everest, there’s fun to be found for all ages! Classes begin in June.

Easy Spanish 1-2-3
Get ready for summer camp with a Spanish flair! Learn Spanish and have fun, twice a week on ZOOM. This rich experience of the Spanish language and culture is educational and fun. They have two age groups: 5-8 years and 9-12 years. Each week has its own exciting theme of creative and fun activities. They’ll send a wonderful box of surprises with most ingredients/components for the activity of the week. Choose morning or afternoon sessions on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Georgetown Day School
Georgetown Day School’s virtual summer camps and classes are programs for kids who love summer math, writing, art, and more! Their new online summer studies include art & mindfulness, creative writing, advanced block coding, 3D printing, ballet, and much more. Students can avoid the “summer slide” with academic reviews and prep for the new school year. GDS summer studies teachers and counselors focus on providing the best experience for each child, from elementary grades through high school.

Home Run Baseball
Home Run Baseball, which has run a camp in the neighborhood for more than 25 years, is back again this summer with camps scheduled to be held at Friendship (Turtle) Park. The co-educational baseball camp for kids 4 to 12 years of age focuses on skill building through volume repetition, offering campers literally hundreds of opportunities to bat and field balls each day, as well as through twice-daily intra-camp ball games. Coach Mac also emphasizes leadership development, personal responsibility, and community service. Camp is scheduled to begin in June.

Kids Elite, Inc. Sports Camp
Kids Elite is not currently planning in-person summer camps due to Phase 1 restrictions but will provide free online content to help you and your children remain active and healthy. Sidwell Summer is excited to offer virtual programs for summer 2020. Held at Alice Deal Middle School, Stoddert Soccer’s co-ed camps for grades 2 through 8 cater to all levels of skill and experience. Led by Stoddert’s professional coaching staff, camps focus on ball mastery and footwork, creative dribbling and attacking, shooting for power and accuracy, passing and receiving, defending with confidence, and fitness and athleticism.
