Tenley WinterFest 2022 begins Saturday

Celebrate the season in Tenleytown! Tenleytown Main Street is bringing holiday cheer to our community with the 11th annual Tenley WinterFest. The festival begins this Saturday, November 26, and continues through Saturday, December 3. Join us to support local merchants and restaurants and celebrate the season with your friends and neighbors. Plan now to take part in all the festivities, including:

Winter Feast
Dining specials and discounts at Tenleytown restaurants, including: Coffee Nature, Guapo’s Restaurant, Le Chat Noir, Nando’s PERi-PERi, Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza, Rome Pizza & Sub, SEOULSPICE, Sol Mexican Grill, and Spring Garden. Dine-in or carry-out, whichever you prefer. Plus check out special WinterFest offers from these other merchants.
Yeti Scavenger Hunt
The beloved Yeti Scavenger Hunt along Wisconsin Avenue with trivia and fun tasks for all ages to enjoy. Teams of friends, co-workers, or family members use our free mobile app to compete to win prizes from Tenleytown businesses. Info on team registration, rules, and this year’s prizes is available here.
Winter Market
Shop for unique gifts, accessories, decor, and more from 20+ local artists and makers. Plus, purchase beloved Tenley Yeti branded merchandise. The market will be held indoors at 4748 Wisconsin Avenue, NW on Saturday, Dec. 3, 11 am – 5 pm. More details here.
Small Business Saturday Giveaways
Visit Tenleytown Main Street while you celebrate Small Business Saturday, take part in the Yeti Scavenger Hunt, or enjoy Winter Feast specials. Pick up a free reusable tote with coupons and giveaways from local businesses to inspire you to Shop Small! Stop by 4748 Wisconsin Avenue, noon – 3 pm, on Saturday, Nov. 26.
Tenley Gets Lit!
Lit up, that is, with festive storefront window displays at local businesses. Plan to view them all with this map of participating businesses. And tune in to TMS’ social media on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, to learn who wins our annual decorating contest.
Carols & Cocoa
Friends and neighbors will gather at Fessenden Park for a community sing, followed by hot cocoa. All ages and faith traditions welcomed. Add your voice to the chorus on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 3 pm.
Tour Historic Tenleytown
Join Tenleytown Historical Society board member Farleigh Earhart on a walking tour that will highlight the unique architectural history of our neighborhood, focusing on Armesleigh Park, Grant Road, and Fort Reno. Register online
Test Your Winter Knowledge
Join TMS and quizmasters Robin and Matt for a special winter-themed edition of Tuesday Trivia at Guapo’s Restaurant on Nov. 29 at 7:30 pm. The winning team receives a $50 Tenley Bucks gift certificate, redeemable at more than two dozen shops, restaurants, salons, and other businesses throughout Tenleytown.
Tree Lighting Festival
Cap off Tenley WinterFest at City Ridge’s holiday celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The Tree Lighting Festival features holiday train rides, photos with Santa, caroling and music, crafts and activities for kids, hot cocoa and cookies, tree lighting ceremony, and more!
